"I'll trade you my old wheelbarrow, and a slightly used sombrero, and I'll even through in a stapler if you insist"
What's the FMV of THAT trade??
Psychedlic Weird Al- love it!

well, he already did a song about ebay...
But the thought of CL for more than cars is foreign to me

Lyrics are not as funny as some of his best stuff, but as a style-parody of The Doors, that's spot-on. Wierd Al does, in fact, rule.

I haven't watched the video yet, but get the drift it's a song about CL.
One of my all time favorites is "Classified" by C.W. McCall (of "Convoy" fame). Great story about a junk barn find in the classifieds set to banjo music. If you haven't heard it...do so now.

And yes, Weird Al does, in fact, rule (and has some unbelievable staying power!)

I think the lyrics fit the whole psychedelic style rather well.
He is awesome.

Another vote for "rules" here too. I used to be a Doors fan and that's awesome.

For those who've never seen Weird Al's movie, UHF; go buy it now. Dont rent it because you'll be wasting your money because you'll be buying it shortly after. "Badgers? Badgers? We dont need no stinking badgers!"

No, that's "Suplies!"
And I think I bought UHF at Frys for the same price it would have cost me to rent. Awesome movie!

'We shared a glance at the mall,
You were a blond half asian,
And I was wearing Speedos and a hockey mask.'
I'm a big Doors fan, he did a good job with the style.

I remember going to see it opening night. We had to drive halfway across Long Island to see it, but it was totally worth it. And if you ever get a chance, Al is great live.

Took my son to see Al live last summer for his 12th birthday. We both had a great time and I can honestly say I've never seen a more diverse crowd at any concert venue.

Weird Al does rock! And UHF is a wicked movie, definitely worth owning.
Also this one should be out on his new album and it mentions a Hyundai.

I can sing (well, you know, CW McCall story tellin' style) the whole thing*. A friend had his greatest hits album when I was in high school.
Then I moved to Colorado and discovered that's where CW McCall was from (sorta)! Wolf Creek Pass, the Silverton, Black Bear Road - I'm living the dream! I just about locked up the wheels when I was driving the Rover towards Imogene Pass and came across the Black Bear Road sign. You know what route I had to take at that point...
*My Colorado native wife was able to hide her awe at this ability when I first demonstrated it to her.

You are a great parent. i saw him at Westbury Music fair and it was a great show. Not nearly as geeky a crowd as I expected.

Al was interviewed on the local radio morning show today, and he mentioned part of the reason his new song sounds so much like the Doors is that he was able to get Ray Manzarek to play keyboards.
