If I read this on 99.9% of the forums that exist, I would dismiss it as a facetious statement. Here at GRM, I'm really not sure.
There is lots of Greg Norman stuff in the Palm Beach, FL area too. Might tempt some rich folks down there to pay a pretty penny for "the most exclusive car in the world".

This option is the most appealing but the bride could use a new family truckster & I'll get a 1099 for the value of the RR. I've figured it the win will jump me into the next tax bracket even if I quit work tomorrow.

Thinking more about this, since you have to take the car on the West Coast, I would absolutely leave it there. Lots of well-heeled folks in CA, many of whom are also golfers. The truck will start to depreciate instantaneously, so the fewer miles the better and I wouldn't want to spend the money to ship it to the east coast. Someone mentioned Barrett Jackson, and an auction like that may actually be the best idea.
Another good option might be Vegas, but then you'd be in for transporting there as well.
Lastly, how soon can you get access to it? The Pebble Beach Concours is in 42 days. LOTS of money will be in town for that event. And there are many auctions that happen then, for that very reason.
Congratulations! You must be excited, though a little perplexed as to what to do next...right? Stress is a killer but I'm sure an act of kindness would clear your head. Ever thought of donating your prize to the less fortunate? Maybe if you just look around you an obvious solution will appear. Do you have a family member that might benefit from your good fortune, perhaps a younger brother ( the youngest one, not the one with the money)? I sense your stress level has lowered just by reading this. I'm sure your little brother would appreciate you kind act. Just think about it, your mother would think it's the right thing to do and she would be so proud.

Gotta figure out a good reply to the previous post. The youngest brother probably won't be getting the car because he got the pony when all the older brothers wanted a real horse.

If you do decide to keep it there are some pretty good diagnostic tools that have just come out for the Rovers. It would probably make your Range Rover ownership experience much less painful than mine. All of my problems were related to resets of faults of central locking, air suspension, and the security system. If I would have had access to a tool to disable those faults I would still have that car today.

The post on the 15th is my baby brother messing with me. I told him & the rest of the family about the win a day or so after my first post about it. Baby Brother googled Greg Norman Range Rover & saw this thread & thought he'd have some fun. I told him I was trying to compose a response in my head because if I posted one,this thread could take a turn for the worse or better. I haven't a clue as to how many people google "Greg Norman Range Rover', but as I said my last post, it's getting some publiciy for GRM which considering the high quality of this form & GRM, is a good thing.
Do you have to take delivery in the US? And who/what company sponsored this, and where are they located? Who, exactly, is giving out this prize? You may, that is, may, dodge capital gains/gift tax if your receiving agent takes delivery overseas. Like Dubai, and handles the transaction for you. Then feed the money through an offshore account, or slow payments via pay pal to you from said agent. And I won't say anymore....
I suggest you consult a good tax attorney and/or experienced yacht or aircraft broker person who is used to handling such transactions. If the prize originates from Rover UK, (even though it's being given here) you might have other avenues to explore that'll be much less costly than taking delivery here.
