Im not a biker of any sort, yet i watched this entire video in awe. Excellent vid thanks

Beats "How it's Made" with a stick.
the process is amazing as is the video itself... that frame jig is AWESOME :)
I recall there was a place that you could go and the shop would walk you though building your own custom frame... kind of a "vacation" type gig... I can see where something like that would be very rewarding...
awesomeness :)
on a side note... I'd LOVE to see a video of that quality going though one of the big frame manufacturers production...
Very cool, thanks for sharing the video!

Very cool video, and the music was perfectly matched, too.
Makes me want to build-up the steel MTB frame that's been decorating my wall for months now.
On a related note, I still want to do this: http://www.brewracingframes.com/id56.htm
Couldn't find a video, but this local shop makes the frame to fit your body.
sure can't say that I've not thought about making my own frame. (and I don't bike as much as many here)
this just makes that thinking worse....
good stuff.
I haven't watched the film, but you can tour Lynsky's production in Chattanooga TN for free any time and watch them make TITANIUM magic.

thats the one... seems to be a pretty awesome way to spend a vacation for many of us GRM types haha
I saw the torch come out and hoped he was fillet brazing the frame.

yeah, theres just something drop-dead-sexy about a handcrafted steel framed bike. A lot of 20 BMX frames are made by hand like that...well the good ones anyway lol. The beauty and art behind that kind of bike is why I jumped when I had the chance to get my hands on an older hand built reynolds tubing Bianchi - sure its a little heavy, but so is the operator
. Its just so clean and pretty with its thin tubes and sleek look. The frame being built in the vid was perfect, and it made me sad when I saw it getting media blasted and powder coated...bare steel frames can look flat out awesome with just a clear coat. Thanks for posting the link!
frame jig is awesome, not that the rest of the process isn't, but providing you've got the other 8 incredible tools he did along with the skills, the jig makes it look easy.

That was The Mattson 2 The song is Longing Of The Leftist
My favourite song and video. The girl is smokin hot to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RD3OgRIYy0&feature=related
That video is pure sex, it's always awesome to see a true craftsman doing is art. As a bonus it reminds me why I love steel frames so much.

How could this get even cooler?!
Skateboard legend Ray Barbee is connected to this?! Wow. And yes, that clip for "Short Strokes" is as beautiful as the woman in it. Thanks so much for the info.
Going to amazon to d/l both tracks...
