Has anyone recently toured the BMW Spartanburg South Carolina plant? I am headed that way next week, but have been unable to get thru to make a reservation.... anyone here have a contact # other than 1-888-TOURBMW ?

    Thanks, Chebbie

That's the number they give for tours on their website, I don't know if there's any other number you can try. It is a pretty good tour, I did it three or four years ago. However, these days all they build there are SUVs - you won't see any Z4s coming down the line.

Edit: If you can't set up a tour, you can still go to the museum without a reservation and it's free. Lots of cool stuff in there, plus a gift shop where you can get an ///M t-shirt.

When I went to the Spartanbur factory, they were re-tooling for something or other and the factory tours were shut down. The museum is definitely a must though.
