22+ Blu Rays for $200, not a bad deal!

I love James Bond just for the cars. In fact if you turn off the sound they are much better.

More like 22 Blu-rays, but over 50 years.

I noticed they didn't show George Lazenby at all in the trailer. http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/bond-50-blu-ray-box-set-collects-all-22-films-i...

Correct, sorry for the mis-information. Number of discs are not specified right now but it includes all 22 current films + over 130 hours of bonus content.

I got the equivalent DVD set for something like $30 a couple of years ago on Black Friday. It's fun having them all on hand.

I'm a deviant because my favorite bond is Moore.

    Dude was a suave m-f'er.

They also left out David Niven. In the 1st Casino Royale, Niven...and a few other actors, including Woody Allen, played the role of James Bond.

Does your set have Never Say Never Again? My son has a compendium book of all the films except that one. There must be a story about that.

It was produced by different people then the other films IIRC.

Yep, same with the original Casino Royale.

I thought the Woody Allen Casino Royale was a satire. Not really a Bond movie at all, no more than Top Secret was.

I'll check my set tonight and see if it has Never Say Never. The set didn't come with the Daniel Craig movies because, well, they weren't out yet. But that was easy to rectify.

Yeah, Never Say Never was done by another studio or production group using Connery at the time that Moore was making his films as Bond.

The 1st Casino Royale was a comedy/satire, but I think it preceded all the Connery movies (stressing the words: I THINK).

Aside from the many James Bonds in that movie, what was so hilarious was the "incentive" James was given to go back to work after taking an early retirement...the British Army blows up his house.

It goes back to when the rights to Thunderball were sold. One of the guys that owned the rights was a producer of NSNA. It's essentially a remake of Thunderball.

Just checked. My "ultimate edition" does not have Never Say Never. I have the normal 22 films. 42 DVDs, lots of stuff to watch. LOTS.
