Well I like anything free but apparently, the big-name companies still look out for us "little guys". They also seem to like it when you write them emails not requesting sponsorship, not requesting support, but just praising their product. I wrote such a letter, and got some pretty cool stuff in return.

As many of you already know, when I perform demos or compete I run on Falken FK-452s . . .I cannot speak highly enough about this tire, it's simply amazing. I wrote a moderately long, yet direct, email to Falken letting them know this and in return for the praise and spreading the word about their product, they gave me this . . .

So without further adieu, I present . . .The Arrival of The Schwag!

Nice... I use Falken tires on my oval track 4-cyl race car, maybe I should write to them too.

I wrote to Yokohama once, asking if I could buy a hat. They sent me a free jacket.

Yes! Yokohama has some GREAT products and their logo looks totally bitchin! Especially on a black jacket. ^_^ Good stuff!

You should, I mean, they sent ME stuff, and all I do is DESTROY their products all day, LMAO! I don't even know what the FK-452 is like on the road because the most I've driven on them is to the event and MAYBE back home, LOL! I wring those poor rubbers through the gauntlet, but they take it and they LOVE IT!

To be honest, it took them just over a month to write back, and I wasn't really expecting anything at all! If anything, all I expected was a "thank you, please continue to buy our products type of letter", but they wrote me back asking for my shirt size and mailing address, I was like. WOOT! Grassroots clothing, LOL!

I got a "gift" "promotional" pack from Yokohama a few years ago. I still have some stuff in my garage from that.

The beauty is, sometimes you just need to ask.

    Nice Score.
