    for those who don't know, the original Range Rovers were only 2 door vehicles, so this is rare. Ugly as sin, but rare.

    It looks like they used the front window mechanism with a plate of glass used instead of the quarter window.

    Weird. The factory did a LWB, 4-door version towards the end of the run. Looks much less awkward:

    That's exactly what they did. British Leyland was at the peak of parts bin design during this period.
