Wasn't he at the Mitty one year? I seem to remember a couple of guys on here that talked to him and said he was pretty down to earth.

He's at the Mitty almost every year. I watched him step from the back seat of his Rolls Royce into his racing suit.

All the race footage and interview footage was from last years Mitty. I have spoken with him there and he is indeed a nice guy. I didnt know who he was until someone told me.

Yep, read a great story about his participation in this year's Rolex24 on Sports Illustrated a couple weeks ago. Wouldn't surprise me a bit f he were on here...

I sniped CNN's interview that day (the original link).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9aXY5BMkvk
I saw Brian and asked him if he had a few minutes. He already saw me shooting a video about his car and was happy to talk. When we were done talking I looked over to see a slightly pissed CNN crew glaring at me. Turns out I got to Brian before they did, so they had to wait for me to finish my interview.
And heck yeah, he is an awesome guy. Kept calling me "laddie". Made my automotive/rock year for sure. I've met more than a few famous people but he was the first one I was star struck over.

He could have his Prevost Driven to the track, instead he's holed up in an Airstream? With no maid service? GRM hall of fame. Buy that man a hotdog, and a beer.

I've been able to meet him a number of times and yes, he is super cool, and a total car guy.
He's been racing with HSR for years. Up until recently he was racing a Lotus Cortina and his wife was racing a bugeye Sprite! Hardly pretentious folks!
Brian will be racing a Daytona Prototype in this year's Rolex 24. He's been making good progress, so hopefully their team will put in a good showing!
It is always great to meet someone you've grown up admiring, and they turn out to be WAY cooler than you ever could have imagined. Brian is that guy.
