So, I've been in Irving, TX all week, learning the WONDERFUL system Essbase. So well thought out and intuitive. Anyway, per the local news (a real freak show), Mr. Esparza was driving his Buick Enclave at 0300 this morning and apparently didn't want to stop for the nice PoPo. They PoPo said he was doing 150 MPH. So, does a Buick Enclave do 150? Man, that's fast. And the PoPo managed to slowly catch up with him. Oh, Mr. Esparsa blew over .20. No word on his imigration status.

La cosa habla por sí misma. Lou Dobbs suspects he hooked a leaf blower up to the intake.

Yo, Hommeeee, I'ze from Da Hood in L.A. And what's that got to do with Juan and his Buick?

Yo Tuco, you from da MR2 Lizt? Been a long time.... Wish I had a leaf blower on da Rolla.

I wuz all set to take the LS400 down here. I got to pavement and the VSC is Kaput came up on the dash, ECU went into Limp Home, Your Screwed, D00de mode and I limped the half mile back to the shop. Put my luggage in the Rolla and dropped the hammer. A 88 AE92 ain't a LS400 on a 800 mile trip, lemme tell you.

A 17 second quarter mile and 9 second 0 to 60 doesn't sound like much of a threat. Humm, so maybe the PoPo may have exagerated a tad, or Mr. Esparza figgered out how to bypass the governor or Added Boost. Maybe what they meant was that they tried to go 150 to catch up. That's a frequent testimony by the PoPo. "I had to go 100MPH to catch up with Mr. Smith (Hernandez, whatever)." It implies that Mr. Smith (Hernandez, whatever) was going 100 MPH when really Mr. PoPo would go 100+ to catch up with anyone just because.

I have had that argument used against me. I was doing 50 in a 40 and the cop was going the other way, did a U turn, and roared up at 90+ mph to pull me over.

The cop must have been driving a Camaro to go 150 catching him. A state trooper friend says a CrownVic will only run 115 with a light bar and 127 without. His Camaro would run 162.

Sorry Toyman, but I have done 130+ in my P71 on PIR during an HPDE in 3rd. I dunno about doing 150 stock, but my modded one definitely has enough stones to get that high.

130+ (indicated) in a modded car without the light bar, and other associated heavy and/or drag inducing cop equipment seems to jibe with his 127mph figure for a fully outfitted car.

130+ before hitting the top end of 3rd gear though. They have a whole nother gear to go. Mine still has push bumpers, a spotlight, antenna nubs, and a fully-swapped civvie interior also so I'm not much lighter than a copped-out one with a clean roof and just as dirty aero-wise. And a CAI, tuner, and cat-back really isn't going to affect top speed that much (besides disabling the limiter, which I'm not even sure P71 computers have).

His was a K9 unit with the full dog cage in the back plus half a ton of radio gear and assorted crap they have to carry.

I could see a K9 unit not getting past 130. Those cages are ridonkulously heavy.

Which B4C did he have? LS1? I want sooooo bad...

carguy123, I was just learning the WONDERFUL Essbase. Then I just would go back to the hotel and have a couple beers and catch up on work via VPN. Nothing exciting. I did get my full of Indian food for a while. There was an Indian food restaurant down the street, walking distance. I'll have to diet for a month to get back to where I left. Came back home today.

Made good time coming home. Got behind a Honduh Accord on 30 and used him for a rabbit. Milege tends to drop at those RPMs, but the 20v was up on the cam. I got about 27MPG on that leg, though. Then, just about 2 miles from my house, the road is blocked off as a hook pulls a new 4 door BMW out of the ditch. Looked like he over cooked the 25MPH turn, ass end swung out, he tried to correct and went right off the road down 8 ft. Crunch. Should have took a pic with my phone for the "That will buff out" thread.

Maybe the SC troopers get a slower version?
