Bring donuts...and probably coffee. I could imagine there aren't many "morning people" at awesome magazine headquarters.

All I've ever heard is "call first, so that someone will be here". They love us.
x2 on Margie, she doesn't remember me, but the first time I met the Suddards, I was working an SCCA National at Road Atlanta (for the staff, they were in the red 4th gen Civic magazine project car..that should tell ya how long ago it was). I remember thinking even then that the woman is a Force Of Nature. Still was at the 2010 Mitty..hell, I hope my daughter ends up just like her.

I don't recall Margie being at the 2010 Mitty. Hadn't Tom broken his arm or something? I do recall Tim bombing aound the compound on a Triumph Bonny, though.

Some days interesting stuff is going on, some days it's a boring old office. Whatever the circumstances, we are always happy to pimp our local taco restaurant, or the finest hamburger you're ever likely to have, or show you what fascinating sights we can muster on short notice.
But, yeah, call first, just to make sure the place has a pulse and we haven't all been scattered to the winds.

Eh, maybe it was 2009. Seems that the longer I live, the more trouble I have distinguishing one year from another..life becomes just a "flow" instead of a regimented list of dates.

Seems as though you don't have enough "exciting times" to chop the years into smaller sections to make them easier to remember. We should hang out more, I can help you change that!

She wasn't at the 2010 Mitty, I'd broken my knee badly a few weeks beforehand (my mountain bike still has gouges from that wreck)
. I was prepared to walk the event on crutches, but she haaaaad to keep me home and mother me.
My dad had the Bonneville at the 2010 Mitty, so you were half right!

Tom's right..last time I talked to Tim & Margie (again, she just trying to keep another crazy subscriber in a GRM T-shirt happy) was 2009. Our conversation was actually about some fool who'd posted a bunch of rumors on the website that the mag was going under. I remember finallly talking to Bob Tullius at the same event (Gp.44 reunion was the theme that year), too.
I didn't see your dad on the Bonnie, Tom..but I did get to talk to Peter Brock. That was seriously cool, and to me..worth all the work he's done to support this event over the last bunch of years. And I got to take my daughter, her fiance, and a mutual friend around the track on a parade lap. Even going that slow, they were impressed.
Best moments were when the guys discovered that hill at 4 was steeper than it looked from the side of the road (1:45), and when I got through 12 fast enough to get a slight touch of oversteer (4:25?). Yeah, it's stiff. AutoX settings and race tracks don't often mix very well..
Everybody..notice that my daughter already knew half of the stuff that made her fiance wince..
EDIT: In front of me is kcbhiw's 4WD turbo Merc Tracer that he built for The Challenge! I'd forgotten that before I watched the vid again..

Hey, you are from the Frozen Northwards. After seeing the glory's of GRM land, head for the Florida Keys. Down here, we refer to it as where God goes for vacation. Seriously great place to visit. Tour Guide available, no charge.
