It's a long ways off but I have to plan ahead.
Because of the seat color (colour, it's a Brit car) I want to paint the Cortina grey, hopefully two tone. There's a sharp edge where the horizontal hood meets the vertical fender, this line goes aft along the top of the door and down the back of the car. That will be the line of separation, on a boat it's called a hard chine if that helps.
Here's the drill:
Paint the entire car in light to medium grey, paint the top surfaces, hood and trunk a darker grey, the rool light.
Or
Paint everthing below the hard chine light grey, paint everything above it, including the roof, dark grey.
Colours will be separated by some tasteful but totally other spectrum pinstripe.
