That statement would have made more sense if he opened the hood and said "Buick 322 Nailhead, no E36 M3?"

Do not ever think about what any of the lines in that movie mean. It's on purpose. That movie is a drinking game. Take a shot every time they eff something up like that. (I still haven't made it all the way to the end! )

I always thought that he thought there was going to be no engine because the car looked like E36 M3.
