Had a run in with what I thought was an STi tonight. I have a feeling it was a body converted WRX because he didn't keep up through one gear

Then tried to give me a ricer flyby

This really happens. If we need that hydrant and your car is there, we'll do it. In fact, if we're in a poor mood as a result of your poor choice of parking spot, we might happen to put the hose junction in your driver's seat.

Don't park in front of a fire hydrant.

It is likely leaking because grounds are caught at the tap.
From the inside and out, clean the area around the tap very well. In the later redesign, they put a little screen at the tap so that grounds could not clog the tap.

Not leaking there. It's clear liquid. It doesn't leak while sitting overnight or brewing. I figure the leak is from when it finally gets done brewing and from pumping the water to the top and doesn't need to pump anymore, it relaxes and the pump spits out the water. You can see from the water stains that it is leaking at the base of the water tank.

Sorry to hear it is not an easy fix, mine has been a faithful companion for more than 6 years.
The newest version has a side tank...
