The thief tried to steal the truck with the 9-year-old Larry Larimore, inside, with the engine running.

“As soon as he opened the door, I got scared,” said Larry. “So I pulled out the pellet gun and pointed it to his head.”

That scared the man enough to get him out of the truck, but then he ran into the next car down,  which also had its engine running.  So, the dad and the other car owner called the police and chased the suspect down.

After a couple miles, the suspect crashed the car and was arrested.

Why do people leave their cars running? Really?

Removing all the 5-10 year old stickers was a pain, but the old bird cleaned up well after some quality garage time with a buffer/polisher.

If I didn't have the 914, I would have one of those for weekending, parking and errands.

Just picked this up at a Goodwill for $50. Only made from 52-54. Usually sells on E-Bay for $125-145. Score!

I have never seen one with a hardtop before.  Congratulations, I can now pinpoint the exact moment I fell in love with 3rd Gen MR2s.

Pics are gone from the Internet.  About 20 years ago there was a website for a racing team in New Zealand called Dietstop.  They circuit raced a Mazda R100.  A left hand drive R100.  The engine was in the passenger floorboard area, and the shifter had a 2-3' extension back to the shift tower on the trans.

Neatest idea I ever saw.
