One of the highlights of the show to me. 59 Caddy Cyclone. What an awesome beast. Begging for a replica if you ask me.

They were all called Firebirds. This one belongs to the Henry Ford Museum and was back on display the next day, I went over at lunch time to check.
The comparison of concept to reality is very cool. The Viper came out spot on. The Chrysler 300 came out much less interesting. The Crossfire actually came out better than the concept I think. The Stout and the Caddy concept are too cool, and Auburns are always a thing. And what about that mile long mahogany speed boat in the background?

I snapped a couple of pics of the speed boat too. Powered by a straight 8 Miller engine. If I'd paid for the restoration I would have attempted to make the trailer look a little more period correct though.

They worked for me a little bit ago and now they're gone.

Come on down. The weather is fine...sometimes.

Found one:
The boat pics all work for me fine I don't know what's wrong. I'll try re-posting them here and see if they work this time.

Wow! From The Purdy Boat Co., no less. A touch of irony.
What a work of art. I've never seen a front engined boat before.
I was a bit concerned about the rear cross member on the trailer until I noticed the T-handle. It must be removable for launching and retrieving the boat.
Lord that's gorgeous. If I'd spent all that money on restoring it, there's no way in hell I'd trust it on a vintage trailer. Even one that looks vintage. I've seen too many vintage trailers:
Okay, swap the aluminum rims for some steelies with moons if it makes you feel better.
EDIT: go Google Purdy boat company. Premier maker of racing boats in the 20's and 30's. Some of the fastest, most expensive boats in the world at the time. Cool stuff.
BTW if you look closely at the 2nd pic you can see the uncovered not wrapped exhaust running down the right side of the cockpit, totally open for your leges to swing right and burn all the skin off your lower legs!!
