180 degree view from our vacation house. Melbourne Florida and as far as we can see, maybe 8 people on the beach. None closer than 1/2 mile.
Ron Howard bought his first car in 1970, a white VW Beetle.
“I got a white Volkswagen Beetle,” he said. “It was my way of saying, ‘Don’t put me in that other box (guys buying Corvettes because they were Hollywood).’” He said that the “very rooted, earthy, common sense approach” of his father kept him “sane and solid.

I used that exact tool to change the valve stem seals on my 4g63 with the head on the block. Rope down the cylinders to keep the valves from falling in. Worked incredibly well.

Just ordered one, since a "friend" just returned my OTC on the car spring compressor damaged.

I've admired Ron Howard's work for years, and always thought that he seemed to be a very down to earth person. Apparently so.

Wow. A guy I worked with in about 1988 had a Gold Duster. The vinyl roof had disintegrated, the quarters had rust spots and it could barely get out of its own way if you flogged it.
I think a resto-mod build starting with a Feather Duster would be pretty badass.
