I parked next to a corvette and it had maybe 4-5 corvette flag emblems in the interior. The seats were embroidered with the flags, there was a big old flag between the seats, and of course one on the steering wheel.

Is a car so bland that you need endless reminders in the car of what make it is? I also hate it when people have "Mercedes" embroidered into their floor mats. I don't like seeing all the branding companies are using and of course the aftermarket selling "powered by honda" stickers.

What do you think?

I don't think I'd say the purpose is to remind people who own it who makes the car. Perhaps others, though

My '58 Pontiac has "Pathfinder" on it's dash. That's what it is.

My '82 Corolla has "Corolla" on the interior

My '67 Jeep has "Jeep" in several places.

I could continue but the point is, I own cars that are all old enough that the manufacturers were still proud of what they made.

You should see how much "Lincoln" script and emblems are inside my '70 Lincoln.

I personally think that the Corvette logo is a really cool looking one, wouldn't mind having a lot of those. Besides that, the only one I'd ever see would be steering wheel.

I will say that I prefer a car to have two emblems on the outside: The one on the grill (sometimes) and the one on the back. Thats it.

I think it's fun to completely de-badge a car. Throw some flares on it and change the wheels and have fun confusing the population.

I take it one step further,

On my 87 Hardbody, took all emblems off and put a MBZ star on the grill. Got asked weekly when they started making trucks (lived and worked in Newport Beach CA)

On my 06 Titan, took off the emblems, changed the grill headlights and tail lights and put Datsun Emblems front and rear. I get asked when they started making trucks again.

I laughed in a kids face once when he looked at an IS300 and said it had "altezzas" when referring to the tailights...where did he think the term Altezza comes from? I also plan to replace the grill and badging from my Infiniti G20 with Nissan Primera badges - Im looking forward to peoples faces when they cock their head to the side in that confused dog way

My Capri has no Ford badges (or Mercury badges); it just says Capri. Thats how they came. I wish it had the old school euro "F-O-R-D" letters on the grille, I like those.

The Mazda is 100% debadged on the outside. On the inside, the only clue is that it says "Mazda" on the steering wheel.

The Celica is confusing, and makes for some funny situations. On the exterior, it's got "gold package" Lexus badges.

The Escort is debadged except for the Ford in the front grill. Has a Mazda steering wheel.

My Impulse had "IMPULSE- Handling by Lotus" on the dash, presumably so that the passenger would assume that you were a crap driver when you didn't take a corner perfectly.

You can also go the extremely ugly bodykit route to making your vehicle unrecognizeable.

Europe. I don't think the car was ever called an Altezza over here, was it?

The M5 is festooned with M badges inside and out - even one on each wheel. A wheel that is distinct to the M5 of course. It's a discreet car, I guess a little TOO discreet for the marketing team or something.

Here's the badge on the back of my Mini. Not many people notice it.

The reason the Vette has them inside is to keep reminding the driver and passenger that they are in a Vette. The interior is so bland and boring you don't feel like you're in a sports car. This way they don't forget and think they're driving their Grandparent's Oldsmobile.

my 84 Buick regal T Type has the following badges:

interior-- "Buick" and "Regal" on the passenger side of the dash. "3.8 litre turbocharged" on the bezel around the instrument cluster. "T Type" on the horn button

exterior-- "Buick" across the top of the grille, "Regal" on the grille. "T Type" on each fender, missing 'power 6' badges under the T Type script that someone decided they wanted when the car sat on a used car lot before i got it. "3.8 liter turbocharged" hood ornament. it is missing the "3.8 SFI turbo" badges on the hood bump. "Regal" badges on each rear 1/4 panel. "3.8 SFI turbo" on the left of the trunklid and "Buick" on the right side of the trunklid.

i'm thinking that if i ever get the bodywork done on it, i'm just going to put the basic Buick Regal badges on the exterior and leave the interior as it is.

Yeah, C5s have some of the worst interiors EVER. It's absolutely horrendous. The big turnoffs about that car are the interior and the overall size of the thing.

A few small interior badges can look nice, but the C5 is way over the top.
