Though I'm in Florida, the home office of the company I work for is in Iowa, and downtown Cedar Rapids is totally flooded:
This is the worst flood they've had in recorded history. A co-worker's daughter is a nurse at Mercy Hospital, who called to say that her car was flooded on the second floor of the parking garage. The damage is unbelievable.
My home office in Columbus Indiana was flooded. 6 foot of water in our offices.
I always wondered why FEMA had maps for 500 year floodplains...
When will the looting begin? If I had photoshop kung fu, i'd make a "Corn Looter Dude" wading through the river with a laundry tub full of corn on the cob.
My ex-wife works at the CR Gazette. I'm sure they'd run "Corn Looter Dude" on the front page.
