OK, so we'll hear plenty of griping about traffic, crowds, and commercialization.

This is a thread to share some nice stories- some blessings.

    Here's mine:

My wife was home alone this evening. The doorbell rang and when she answered it, no one was there.

On the porch floor was a beautifully wrapped little box.

When she opened it she found a note that said:

This is not from Santa Claus.

    You pray.

    God provides.

    You can trust Him.

    Merry Christmas!

Inside were a couple of lovely chocolates, a cross, and wrapped in a ribbon was a very generous cash gift.

We have no idea who it came from, but we are grateful. It was such a joy to be reminded of goodness and love in the middle of this busy season.

    Merry Christmas!

He does provide. Getting ready this morning to teach another Christmas lesson at church. The greatest gift a person could get, born over 2,000 years ago. Merry Christmas!

That's great to hear, much better than the gifts left on my doorstep.

There is an unknown person or persons in this part of the country who is randomly going around slipping krugerrands into Salvation Army buckets. They're currently worth about $1700 each.

Yesterday, I attended to the Memorial Celebration of Candy Stephani a long time volunteer of the PVGP (along with her husband Ralph).

Candy's life was cut short too soon (56) after a tenacious 15 year battle with cancer. Almost all that time, she was upbeat and fun to be with.

The Celebration was not especially religious, and yet hearing the stories of this woman and her life well-lived will probably be the most truly spiritual experience I have in this holiday season.

Some people are going into department stores and ramdomly paying off other people's lay-away items.
