The lesser of the two still resulted in selling my truck, just took two weeks of waiting for the guy to put his funds together. Tedious and annoying, but it's done now.

But selling off the Yakima rack bits for the outgoing Civic went amazingly well. Got exactly one reply to my ad, within hours of posting, from someone who asked a clarifying question (in properly spelled and punctuated English) to be certain it would fit her car, then asked if they could pick it up the next day. Better yet, they were from the town across the river and met me at the Subie dealership there while I was having a delayed option installed on the WRX.

No errands, no twiddling my thumbs at home, no haggling. Buyers were a pleasant couple who were delighted to get the parts, didn't have exact change and offered to just pay $10 over my price because of it.

Just wanted to post a positive CL story, since it's so annoying so much of the time.

I hear you man, it's so hit-or-miss. I've dealt with untold numbers of emails, callers, and idiots tire-kicking my stuff; yet I also had my AMC 5-speed swap sold in 24 hours, finally dumped my gokart, and got asking price and good transactions on 3 other items.

It seems like CL transactions are either super easy and good or total clusterberkeleys.
