Anybody here familiar with a used car sales outfit that goes by that name?

They have a lot posted on Craiglist in the Richmond to DC area. My daughter was looking at BMW they have and I saw several red flags. She can't see that car before she buys. She can't pick up the car. They ship the car and the price is shipping is already in the price of the car. Money has to be wired. Of course this is all "done through ebay so that you are protected".

I smell a big old rat, but I find nothing bad when I Google the name.

When you pull up the cars for sale on the Baltimore Craigslist, it says in 30 point font at the top of the page."offers to ship cars are 100% fraudulent"

    Then it says

You can sidestep would-be scammers by following these common-sense rules:

    • DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts on craigslist.
    • NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.
    • FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later.
    • CRAIGSLIST IS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide escrow services, or offer "buyer protection" or "seller certification"
    • NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)
    • AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL "GUARANTEE" YOUR TRANSACTION.

And yet still have people fall for it.......

Yea I saw all of that too, AFTER I told my daughter to forget it. She can be pretty thickheaded when she wants to be. Maybe she will believe all of those warnings even if she doesn't believe dad.

I must say this person is pretty slick.

There is NO relationship between Ebay and CL so if nothing else sends up a red flag the "assurance" that everything will be handled through Ebay is a sure sign that this is 100% scam.

Based upon my experiences saying it will be handled the Ebay way pretty well guarantees you it's a scam.

I go to CL to get things done legitimately.

Actually I didn't (need to ask).

The OP asked if anybody had had dealings witha certain entity.

Crooks total crooks, they hit the junkyard take parts off older like model car, trucks and put the junk on the cars/trucks they are trying to sell and keep the good parts for the other cars they need to fix up....scam total scam, doors falling off, they wont even let you see the car until you are ready to buy, then they talk the good guy talk and tell you they guarantee the vehicles are good, load up their site with pics of people standing by vehicles but not one quote, they are crooks and the State of Virginia Commonwealth Attorneys Office, will put Bob Adams , if that is his real name and his crew outta business, man, he has several aliases.....a chick named Munoz answers the phones, done my research and find it quite odd they have over 100 pics on the site showing folks standing by vehicles we are to assume they have purchased, yet not one quote or thanks online anywhere.....can you spell TAX FRAUD, the fines are gonna hit them hard and I hear from folks in Warrenton they gotta illegal side hustle on too. My boy works for DHS, homeland security hdqtrs in DC, Special Agent, I asked him to do a check on them and and the crew Evan and Kay and Robert Adams....some aliases are being used, for sure, too many names under their umbrella, heh, heh heh...revenue, possible a hot spot to cover tracks elsewhere, amen
