I wonder if the crane operator skipped the "This is a big frigging lever, and this is what can happen" class.
that would be a good opportunity to do an oil change and chassis lube on the truck, as well as replace any bushings that needed done.

Bet it wouldn't have tipped if he was lifting over the rear of the crane. Lifting over the side is a big no-no.

I usually just go around to the back of the house to get things into the backyard, never really thought of hoisting something over the roof.
