For a gift, I am looking to get a diecast version of the first Lemons car, a 66 Volvo Amazon, for those of you playing along at home, for a fellow team member. Hopefully he doesn't see this thread, as he sometimes visits. I thought I had bought one, but it fell through. Luckily, Paypal got my money back from that store (not ebay - real online storefront) but now I am kinda stuck. ebay only has crazy expensive versions. Anyone know where to go for weird diecast stuff like that?

Ooh. Haven't seen one of those before. I wound up finding a few dealer promo models of early Volvos though---those are highly detailed, but plastic. Per

Plastic would be OK - better than nothing

Check the local hobby shops? I know the one by me has a whole aisle of stuff like that... including some AutoART stuff I can't get anywhere else.

I checked the AutoART site and it doesn't appear they make any Amazons - too bad, as their stuff is usually really nice. There are a bunch of Minichamps Amazons on eBay but they are starting at around $50 and going up from there.
It turns out Revell made a 1:18 scale Amazon although it appears to be out of production.
