How do I get the smell out of my clothes? The wife washed them, so now its in the entire garments, and not just the stain...

Wash them normally and when it gets to the rinse cycle add 2 cups white vinegar to the machine. A faint smell of vinegar may be detectable after the rince cycle is through, but a dryer sheet is usually enough to take that out.

Use Ivory Snow instead of laundry detergent.

Simple green got degreaser out of my clothes. Then I had to wash them in normal detergent to get the simple green smell out. If you have a front-loader, remember it needs to be low-suds soap/detergent.

Use gloves when you fill the tank. I used to carry giant haz-mat gloves in the trunk, along with my Diesel fuel additive, and put those on when I filled the tank. Can't go sticking your fingers inside people when they smell of Diesel, now can you?

Another vote for Simple Green. My wife also uses Lestoil, that works just as good. She just adds a cup or so to a regular load of clothes and normal amount of detergent.

    Soak it in racing fuel.

You won't get that smell out, but someone honestly come on and tell me that gasoline isn't the best smelling thing on Earth. Not that I'm telling anyone to go breathe it in on purpose

Three best smells in the world:

Play Doh…the knock off stuff fails as it doesn’t smell like anything.

    Kitty Litter…fresh of course.

Gasoline…two stroke mix is even better.

All depends on who's smelling of Diesel...Your fingers or people?

O.K., I'll give ya the Play-Doh, but the other top two would be the smell of burning slicks, and the nitromethane that comes along with it.

Funny Car or Top Fuel; either way. Plus it runs the mosquitoes off.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the smell of Play Doh?

    1) Gasoline

    2) Crayons

    3) BBQ

I disagree. Brand new tyres, brand new leather shoes, and single malt whisky.

    Freshly brewed coffee!

And also, 'old car' interior smell. The aroma of well-worn leather seats, and a dash made from a tree.
