    I have an older dishwasher (probably 15 years old). It's a Kenmore Ultra Wash III. I pulled it out of it's home to install floor, unhooking only the water supply line and the drain line, as the electrical is hardwired (wtf) in to the wall.

    After getting everything back in place and hooked back up, I tried to start the sucker up and no dice. Acting like it has no power. No circuit breakers are popped and everything else in the kitchen works just fine.

    I opened the bottom panel and saw nothing like a reset. Anyone out there have any ideas? I have no manual from the previous owner.

    The eventual plan is to replace it, but it wasn't in the budget at the moment.

    Recheck the electrical connections, with a voltmeter.

    Check for power with a volt meter.

    Check the door switch.

    That is all I can think of off the top of my head.

    Floor looks good.

    Check for some sort of breaker / reset thing on / under the washer. And yes connections again. Hardwiring isn't unusual for dishwashers, but they are often on their own circuit.

    Good advice, and thanks for the compliment on the floor!

    Vodka, wife, mom, and dog helped. It's Quick-Step laminate. Great product to work with if anyone is in the market.

    could a safety switch be bad/ stuck or need reset? should be a wiring diagram on the unit you could troubleshoot from w/ a DVOM. not very familiar w/ DWs just my .02

    I just did a kitchen floor with that stuff. Great to work with. Looks even better in the second picture.

    Did you check to see if a gfi receptacle popped? It may be wired into your countertop outlets - one never knows how E36 M3 is retrofitted in a house. Also, some breakers have to be switched "all the way off" (Square D?) and back on before the circuit is powered again

    I doubt you fried anything unhooking it

    A guy on my hockey team swears by www.repairclinic.com for both help with repairing appliances and ordering parts. They have a repair manual for your dishwasher for $17, but you can also ask questions for free.

    I agree that checking the wiring going into the dishwasher for power should be your first step. Pulling it out of it's home may have pulled a wire loose somewhere in the wall.
