Tough loss. He may have been schticky and silly, but everything just seemed better when he was on screen.

EDIT: Didn't see the previous thread. Nothing to see here.

Sad day. I'm going to have to find my copy of Cannonball Run and watch it again.

For some reason I thought it was "The French Mystique" my mistake..... or is that just another example of Mel Brooks humor ?

Everybody shout out "Dunh-dunh-Dunnhh" in tribute to Captain Chaos !!

It's listed in the music credits as The French Mistake.

If you ever have the opportunity check out an early Mel Brooks film called the 12 Chairs. Dom DeLuise plays a Greek Orthodox priest in early soviet Russia that is a riot.

I must have worn out my VHS tapes of Cannonball Run I and II in my youth. He did have a knack for making me chuckle. His sons were regulars on Stargate SG-1, too, and Dom did a cameo there as well. Sad news!

Dom's one son was a good actor, but I haven't seen him lately. I am not familiar with Stargate SG-1 either.
