Re-reading some 10 year old posts. Interesting to see some Knurled-Gut-Reactions to things, only to find that a page later, Previous-Knurled responded with more or less the same thing I was thinking.
Annoyed that Previous-Knurled never pointed out in the "I can get a free Saturn that needs a clutch" thread that the clutch in a Saturn can be replaced in about an hour if you don't bother actually removing the transmission, you can wedge it back between the chassis and subframe enough to get an air ratchet in there without disassembling half the car.
Previous-Knurled made stupid money working flat rate at a Saturn dealership. Those cars were SOOOO easy to work on, and the labor times were way oversubscribed. It was no problem pulling 20 hours before lunch and then farking off the rest of the day if nothing else came in.

Holy berkeley, 10 years this past July 8. And I haven't been to the Challenge yet. I haz sad.

That only goes back to 2007. The board goes back a lot farther than that- I know I was here in 1999 for the original Challenge, guessing that I came in 1998.
I don't think it even goes back that far, I have an invite to beta-test the new board from May 2008.
