Why have I never seen fender flares on that generation of Camaro before?

I think GM built that car for SEMA years back. I have some studio shots of it somewhere...I'll see if I can find them.

And since 4th-gens can fit 315s without flares, I expect some big meats on that car.

I am not a GM or Camaro fan, but if I was

This would be the one I would drive.

except it didn't.. it's truly badass and all, but it was built in the late 80's. Camaros were playing in the Trans Am series in the late 60's..

I wonder if Big Red is still active. Anybody see it lately?

I haven't seen that car in quite a few years. It was shown at Sema in 2004. As much as they wanted it in a 1969 Camaro package they finally admitted the 69 Camaro was not able to do what they wanted. I saw it after the race car-i-fi-cation of it. Full tube frame, cut firewall with rearward mounted engine, etc.

Truly first class piece of work.

i'm guessing he meant it started the pro touring movement.

Why didn't it come with flares from the factory? It looks sharp with them.

It may be all flair, but the blue car clearly demonstrates that they look better with a little more.
