Ok so I can't make any new bookmarks in the toolbar area. I can make normal bookmarks, but can't make any in the toolbar. I have the newest version(just checked), and have been able to in the past but not now.

Any ideas?

(edit) I just tried by right clicking and telling it to put the bookmark into the toolbar folder and it shows up in the toolbar...but I used to be able to just click/drag/drop from the address bar into the toolbar and it would make a new one

Can you go into organize bookmarks, then drag them from the main area to the folder called "Bookmarks toolbar"?

I clicked the little symbol beside the url and it dragged to the toolbar just fine.

I was having issues with IE6 and i took a stab at downloading FF onto my corporate laptop. I am very happy to report that for me, it loaded w/o needing admin rights.

I know, that is what its supposed to do. We are trying to figure out why his isn't, I was just suggesting a temp fix/seeing how deep the problem goes.

Just downloaded the latest FF 11.0 but can't figure out how to turn off the toolbar bookmark icons, any ideas? I'm on a macbook if it makes a difference...

There's no setting in Firefox to do it but you can try this addon:
