from what i remember, i would try to join a race, it would say "joining" with the arrows moving counter clockwise, then it would say "failed to connect", i will have to see if its the router....

Most of the new harddrive kits just dump the whole hard drive to the new drive and it's a move not a copy. However, cheaper and easier fix buy a memory unit and copy your save game file to that then once you get your box copy it onto your HDD. And yes I got your friend request.

griffin, excuse my ignorance...but I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying I could buy one of those plug-in USB memory sticks, save it to that, and then plug it into my (rhetorical) new xBox360?
I really don't want to "move" the data, because it's his box, and I don't want to wipe out his data on his box. I just want to copy one little profile.
EDIT: I should have said "all the data".
