What happened to the spec series that was going on here a while ago? I just got my Forza 2 back and was wondering if anyone was still doing that. I think a GRM V8 supercars inspired spec-series would be cool. Maybe GTO's and Monaro's. Or just a V8 series in general. Mustang's, GTO's, Monaro's, Trans-Am's, Corvette's. Might be hard to make it even though.
Or another idea. An American version of V8 Supercars. 4 door V8 powered sedans. Cadillac CTS and Dodge Charger. That'd be kinda cool.
I'd just like to get back to the Minis if we could to start. I started playing GTA IV when everyone else did. It's stupid though since I never do the missions - I just drive around at maximum speed aimless . . . like a retard - I might as well be playing Forza. Although, in Forza 2, I can't smash up a taxi with my H2 sending the driver through the windshield and into my grill, killing him instantly. Or blow crap up.
Yeah, anyway. You're right. I want to get back into the Spec series we had going too. That was a lot of fun. I should be able to spend more time in front of the X-box starting next week. Anyone else want to rejoin?
If any other people would like to do it, we could try to have a poll on what to use for cars. The reason I suggested a V8 supercars-esque series is because I'm a little obsessed with them lately. I built a Monaro last night to V8SC specs and it's fast and could make for good racing, but I'm not sure everyone wants to dish out that kind of money. It gets spendy in a hurry. Maybe we could do spec-Mustang's? GRM has a feature on the new Mustang spec series in this months issue. That could be a lot of fun, and relatively cheap.

I've been doing some online racing in the R4 class lately. As long as you set it to RWD only cars to lock out the Audi's, it's quite competitive. We could even switch cars every race, because the Viper in the right hands is still very fast. But I can at least keep up with them with the other cars.
Confuzion, i see you on live and every time say "Oh! forza!" then i notice... your on GTA4. haha, Im always up and i still run my mini.
And id also enjoy the spec mustang series, that would be awesome.

How many people raced last time with the spec Mini's? Any input on what kind of cars? I'm still leaning towards some sort of V8 supercars-esque series.
i would like to play, i have tuned numerous cars on forza and was at one time in the top 20 at maple springs, and my racing skills arent as good as my livery or tuning skills. my mom (yes mom i am only 16) returned forza in my rented nfs box (which sucked) so i will need to get another copy, but i would love to play. i like the 4 door idea, but i would also like to do a spec d or c class race.

A few of us jumped in the Minis and had a couple races going. I did quite badly, which was to be expected since I haven't played Forza in 2 months and my driving style is more atuned to GTA IV!
My gamertag is the same as my forum name. ConfuZion3. You can send me your cars and I'll dress them up with GRM stickers. Just make sure I know you're sending them to me so I know who to send them back to and so I don't have them for like 3 weeks if I unexpectedly lose my Xbox or something.
