Well, that would get you "known" for something other than just the "Batbus"

Something along the lines of "That Bus Guy"

You'd have to change your name to busdriver.

My buddy uses a short bus to tow his rock crawling jeep around. I mean its a dually E350 with a powerstroke. It tows really nice and cost about 1/4 what an equivalent pickup truck or van would have cost.

I used to wheel with a guy who took a normal bus and devoted about the rear 1/3rd of it to his Jeep. He'd drive the jeep into the bus, raise the rear door (it was the entire rear panel of the bus) and the Jeep was inside. the front 2/3 were the driver seat and a converted camper. Super sweeeeeeet!!! I wish I had pics.

Can someone let me know how this ends please?

Bidding ends in 39 minutes, that's 12:40 eastern, the work computer cuts ebay off promptly at 12:30 (not work related)

Just the final price, I'm so excited I can't sleep at my desk.

    WHAT!!!!!

Now I'm too upset to sleep at my desk. $1500 and my buddy wants the tow hook, says he'd give me $500 for it which would take care of some shipping costs.

    Rats.

    Guys.

Help a fellow racer out and buy my extra tow vehicle. Asking $1700, but cash talks.

OOps, Should have added that the reserve wasn't met at $1500

  • 914Driver

    April 6, 2009 1:25 p.m. 914Driver Dork

If the reserve is not met, the seller is not obligated to sell, correct?

Aeronca65t, do you know off hand the width between rear wheel wells?

    Dan

    Dan

55.5" from inside the wheel wells. I modified them slightly to get that (it just fits a Spridget or a Mini). The rear roll-up door has a 73" wide opening. And the interior length is about 131" with the door down (to the back of the seat....so that could vary a bit).

I've seen two different stepvans with ramps over the wheel wells to fit a wider car. The wheel wells are about 10" tall.
