Since winter is now winter (now with snow!!!)

being able to open/close the garage door without getting out of the vehicle and holding the switch on the garage wall would be ideal.

One door sensor is not cooperating with the other, hence needing to hold the button on the wall.

Is there a way to trick the door sensors without replacing the bad one?

OR

What's the cheapest easiest way to replace the sensor(s) so I can use a remote from my car?

Sensors are cheap and easy to install. I just replaced my opener and saw a set in the LiftMaster site for $28. Why not do it the right way?

The openers are engineered to not be able to trick. The last set of eyes i bought were about $20. Plus they add a safery factor for kids, pets, and cars. Put me in the "fix it right" camp.
