Michigans biggest island, Isle Royale, did not even make it on the map.

i've seen this sort of thing before when i lived in Austin, admittedly not this bad though. in a few months, they'll probably have a month or two of steady rain, and all the lakes and rivers will flood. back in 07, lake travis went from being over 65 feet low to flooding enough to close roads in only a few months.
Its pretty much given that there are going to be some pretty serious and permanent water shortages at some point (quite possibly within the lifetime of many of us). The people who plan for these types of things don't think we will run out, but paying many times more than ever before for water is a likely possibility.

Well, not just for the helluvit, though. Have you ever been around floodwaters? When Hurricanes Dennis & Floyd flooded my hometown back in 1999, I went to go help clean up. That BMW M3 is nasty. Especially in a place that makes its living through agriculture & animal husbandry. Using it for lawns? Don't know if the herbicides would kill the grass, or the manure would make it grow.

This crap has been going on for over a hunnert years.
Except now the populations involved are hundreds of thousands larger than a 100 years ago.
