If you've already got an SBC, that would be drop-in, in terms of mounts and such.
Unless it's a "built" 327, and your transmission is toast, that's alot of coin. I got a '91 350 (no transmission) for my Slo-noma for $175.

I've got a 305, so there's that.
I actually don't know what transmission I have (he said sheepishly); whatever came stock on a base stripper 1500 work truck. 460LE...? It's certainly not shot, but it does have 160k on it.
I hear you that this one's kinda spendy, but I do have a bike with a torn-apart motor I might be able to trade. Just curious to see if this is a desirable motor.
In all honestly, I'm probably being shortsighted and impatient on two projects at once. Patience, grasshopper.
