I've got an extra Google Voice invite. Anybody want it?

On a side note, anybody have any comment on Apple blocking it from the iphone?

What's Google Voice? Never heard of it. If Apple blocked it from the iPhone ( or was it ATT from the internet?) then it must be the work of the devil.

My understanding is that call came from AT&T, not Apple.

AT&T has been on a roll lately. They also banned 4chan for a while, and anyone who's been around teh intertubez for a while knows you do NOT berkeley with 4chan.

Yeah, I really wish T-Mobile had better coverage in my area, I'd drop AT&T like a rock. Sprint's screwed over too many of my friends, and I'll give up having a cell phone before I give Verizon a single cent of my money.

This is great for leaving a call back number for craigslist ads. Just send all the callers straight to voice mail, and get a transcripted text message...

Not always real accurate, but still pretty cool. I had my Subaru Brat list and got transcripted messages about my; Citigroup, so Gruber, suburbanite and super Brad.

Is anyone here extensively using Google Voice? I have a number with them but have yet to really give it out to people. I can see where it would be very helpful to list in classified ads.

My daughter uses mine as an emergency line. She remembers one number, and it rings mom, dad, step-mom, grandma, cell and house phones. Nice!
