Wouldn't a female Governor, actually be a Governess? I keep hearing the snotty chick from Alaska referred to as Governor. I think that she should be called Governess. Anyone else?

Well, either Governess, or miss S.B.

I don't think so. A governor is in charge of a state. A governess is in charge of small children, or is a fairly obscure Minnie Driver movie in which she shows her boobies.

It's something like actresses are now called actors Then again "Governor" is a position to be filled by either gender.

There's a Mistress joke in there somewhere, but I'm trying to be respectful.
