    Hey All,

After making the top 16 overall in apartmenttherapy.com's Small, Cool 2010 Contest, it looks like my stepdaughter Natalie will be defeated in her bid to make the top 8. She's 225 votes down in the early going so I don't think we can rustle up enough support to overcome the margin. Her opponent has more money in her sofa than Natalie spent on her whole place.

Thank you very much to everyone who voted and commented on her entry. Natalie asked me why a bunch of car guys would care enough to vote and leave comments. I told her this particular group is more prone to building or ingeniously procuring needed parts or tools. They learn skills necessary see their projects to completion and appreciate those qualities in others regardless of what they're doing. She is part of a larger group of crafty people who don't let a lack of funds stand between where they are and were they want to be.

If you would like to vote for Natalie anyway, click here and check out what a great job she did. Those rooms are full of remnants, cast-offs and reworked cheap stuff. Sound familiar?

    Thanks again,

    Jerry

PS: It kills me to know I misspelled "Part" in the topic title and can't change it.
