    what-a-minute... they came out with a supercharged version that puts out 400hp.. roughly double that of the original?

    You really expect me to believe that the original Delorian had 200hp?

    I am absolutely floored that DMC still exists! What have they been doing for the last 30 years?

    No power, crappy brakes and horrible handling. But it was still hellish great to drive one.

    that's more like what I was thinking. I remember hearing the the 88mph speed that they used in Back to the future was kind of a joke among the cast and crew as the delorian they had could JUST hit that speed

    2700lbs, 35/65 front/rear. An LSx would add 150-200lbs to the back end.

    Maybe battery packs in the nose will help.

    Some one bought up all the spares and rights back in the early 80's. They noe do restorations, service, etc. They can even build complete new cars from NOS parts!

    from the article.. they have built 15 more from original and new spares... to a higher standard than the factory was able to do
