It's kind of my dream to have someone acknowledge the GRM sticker on my DD Mazda Protege -- to recognize, that despite driving a sand beige four-door econobox with steelies, I get "cool rides" and that I, too, am drawn to the siren call of interesting and eclectic cars.

All my cars sport GRM logos -- the Miata runs a GRM sticker on the roll bar, and the Corvette sports a GRM license plate frame. Hot tip -- take an existing rectangular GRM sticker and use a pair of scissors to trim and modify the sticker so that it looks less blocky. I like to cut out all of the white around the top and bottom of the lettering, and follow the contour of the flags.

I've got 1 on a magnetic that I stick to the car at events - I could use a couple more. I have yet to see one at any of the regional autoxes.

I did see one on a gorgeous E30 track rat in the classifieds at Bimmerforums. Man, I wanted that car, and it was red/black, too, so the GRM stickers went right with the decor.

That was my car! Wait until I post the next one...

I just put mine on my windshield and right in the back on the hatch where the Toyota symbol used to go. Sticks out like a sore thumb, so you'd all better see me!

I recently passed an ITA Sentra SE-R heading northbound on I-95 while I was heading southbound. It had out sticker back by the rear tire. I thought that was cool.

    Like this?

You talking abut the tirerack banner, or GRM? I've got plenty of TR banners if you want one.

Ooooo.... i'll take a TR banner!

When do you want to meet up? I'm getting my wheels re-balanced today after work. (Weight fell off. Why they insist on using the stick on weights is beyond me.)

I was going to run a GRM banner, but i think i can put that on the EGT.

Nope, i would never offend Bob in such a manner.

Though i don't think he's too fond of my "my celica > your hyundai" sentiments.

Meh.... My Hyundai is a comfy and fun DD. It's retired from "active service", hence the lack of stickerz on it. I like to go incognito especially when travelling out of town.

Speaking of, we'll be down in GRM area in June.... we should stop by and like meet the cool people that I pick on all the time.....

Spotted a couple on an older white Toyota Tercel at a local cruise night in central Maryland on Saturday. Then I noticed it also had some Summit Point and NASA decals too. Then I noticed it was sporting a lowered suspension, a set of Koseis, and a custom-fabbed front air dam. Suddenly, it became the coolest car at the show, and it wasn't even in the show.

(and if you're the owner - drop me a line. I'd love to talk to you about your suspension setup)

I'll bounce it off the boss lady. I'm supposed to finish the "deferred maintenence" on the Escort on Sunday, but i may be able to get it done on Saturday, and drag her along in my car on Sunday. Would love to come. And get lumped into FSP or something, but whatever, it's about the experience, right?

Last Xmas when I was in DC rolling hard in my mom's Acura, we came across a random SUV with a GRM decal on the back. I accosted the owner and hollered, "Hey, I work at GRM, thanks for running our sticker!" before the light turned green and we went our separate ways. I suspect they thought I was just a crazy guy, but I was excited to see fans back home out in the wild.
