This is a must-see classic...stumbled across the whole movie on youtube here!
We JUST watched this last night. For reals. On Netflix though. Fun movie, lots of great old cars.
I watched that one a couple of weeks ago on Netflix. Great movie. I just wish the had Cannonball available to stream as well.
Dirty Mary crazy Larry is on netflix as well.
"What's my top end?"
slam
"Unlimited"
No fake Cobras in Gumball Rally.
I conned my folks into taking me to see it in the theater back in the day. Keep in mind, I was very much a pre-teen at the time so the language and bouncing boobs was completely foreign to me. My folks need not have worried; all I noticed were the cars. I had a fixation on 427 Cobras that lasted for an eternity after that.
I still use the Jaguar team's quotes:
Guy One: "It's a handsome design."
Guy Two: "I wish it ran."
I've adapted one Raul Julia quote that I use fairly reguarly- " That which is behind, is of no concern."
Its a bit fancier than the actual statement, but I like it.
I noticed that there were links to some other 1970s grade B movies as well - The Driver, Grand Theft Auto, Convoy and others.
The Driver = meh, watch the chases on YouTube. GTA is a bad Roger Corman B movie, but it's probably one of the best ones he's done and does have some decent car content. Convoy I just watched again last year, forgot how bad it really is as a movie. The stunt with the Chevelle still scares the crap out of me though. First stunt in video
"Two Lane Blacktop" was available on youtube in 10 minute segments. A movie where the good dialog is really exhaust note.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I have seen Gumball.
The Junkman
Gone in 60 Seconds (NOT the Nick Cage version)
Deadline Auto theft.

Sadly, Warner Brothers has blocked the youtube run of Gumball!
