The interchangeable Xmas movies are painful, but some of the reruns are ok in moderation.

Thank you. I love how these folks are all about "diversity" and "inclusivity" until you disagree with their narrow minds.

looks like someone is a fan of the Hallmark Channel...

And realistically, there is nothing wrong with that.

I won't watch Hallmark anymore than I'll look at a Kincaide or listen to Pop music.

But if others want to, what's the harm?

Maybe after watching the nightly news, people need something that's reassuring, even if unrealistic.

I don't like it at all, but then I don't watch it. I watch Cheers reruns and Parks and Rec for the same reason--it is familiar and comfortable.

I haven't seen the Hallmark channel, but this sounds a lot like "please tolerate my intolerance."

That said, I'd be surprised if there's a TV channel featuring actual intolerant content. If it's running Seventh Heaven* on a 24/7 loop that would be lame and boring, but there's no harm in wanting to watch the kind of show that grandmothers get off to

*Did you know that the actor who plays the dad on Seventh Heaven, and who made a guest appearance on L&O:SVU as a pedophile, is actually a pedophile IRL? Yep, the news was drowned out by the flare-up of Cosby rape accusations. The record is not good for actors who play wholesome dads on TV.

No kidding. I mean, are we really having a multi-page thread on "I don't like some form of entertainment that others do"?

Not so sure about that...if you post here about a steak or a hamburger, vegans don't automatically respond, but if you post about anything to do with television, it's a race to see who can tell you they don't watch TV and therefore are better than you.

As for bike riders, there are plenty of them on this site but by default they also like cars as well.

Some of us do the same thing as TV people with the book of faces.

I'd like to see the gantt chart showing the intersection of the "Vegan" and "Hardcore gearhead" populations. I'm betting it's not very significant.
