9:36 and we've had exactly zero trick-or-treaters. No one on our block has, and several of the houses (including ours) are decorated with porch lights on. Apparently Halloween is dead. 
Or zombies got all the little'uns.

We haven't had a single trick or treater in 11 years. I think the parents bus 'em out to the fancy neighborhoods down the road apiece.

We looped the neighborhood with the kids in an hour and holy crap... people put out. My 6yr old has about $10 in his bag and enough good candy to give the whole house da sugah'.
Exactly 7 kids came to our house, all of the appropriate age and polite and respectful. Some of their parents stayed and had a few beers... some will probably sleep it off for a few hours and then go home.

Up here near Detroit (Novi, actually), it's a little chilly. We got maybe 25 or 30 little monsters, and no teenagers (like in years past). I never liked when the older kids came around--they've gotta grow up some day. The past two years have been kinda slow. Maybe everybody is afraid of getting razor blades in their treats.
Or else all the UM fans who saw their team lose to Illinois were so ticked-off that they wouldn't let the kiddies go trick-or-treating...

We had at least 35 kids come to the door. We are in a mature neighborhood, that turns over as the kids grow up. We had two street parties, and tons of kiddos, and it rained!

We haven't given out candy in 20 years. First Halloween we went all out, decorated the house, lots of candy and had exactly 0 kids show up.
I guess that's what I get for buying a house on a dead end street.
As far as the teens, my 17yo daughter still likes to dress up and walk around with us. She will walk the 6yo up to the doors but doesn't get candy.(she steals that from her brothers.
) While taking the kids around I bet we didn't see 20 other children the whole time. Halloween is a dying tradition around here.

On a side note, when I was a teen it was trendy to put a pumpkin on the porch, but not carve it into a Jack-o-lantern. Me and a couple of friends got knives and a hand full of candles and spent a fun evening carving Jack-o-lanterns.

When I was around 14 -15, we took friends little brothers/sisters our trick-or-treating so the parents could stay home giving out candy, granted we didn't really dress up but we often got candy anyway. Later we teenagers had our own costume party.
Wife said we didn't get much this year, she turned off the light when teenagers started coming. Getting smaller every year. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of trees in the yard that darkens the house. In previous years I've seen kids come up the start of the driveway and turn around. Guess it's too dark and spooky for them. I wasn't home earlier, I was attending our annual night autocross.

We don't get that many kids here to worry about teenagers. My teenage daughter took her younger borther out with one of her friends and some other little kids around to trick or treat. Meanwhile we just got the house egged. I just finished cleaning up most of it.

Yeah, Margie, Katie's too old. My daughter is 11 and this is likely her last year. The Wife was handling the bowls this year again as the neighborhood dads walked the kids around with a cooler of beer. She reported a few teens but not a ton. Cold, wet windy weather had turnout cut in half from last year when it was nice and warm. My 17 year old niece went trick or treating as octomom, can't wait to see the pics of that but we all agreed she's too old to TnT.

We did a car crash and Zombie scene in the front yard.
Our block does a few Haunted houses. Where we set up Pop ups in the drive way and make a maze out of plastic to the garage where we have the Anamitronic (Sp?) Figures. We also add real people dressed up like the figures to jump out and scare people. My 13 year old daughter helped with this so she decided not to Trick or treat.. But after word got out there was a Haunted- house some older kids came by to check it out and get scared. Since we had the extra candy they did Trick or Treat. So we did have some older kids, but I feel it was more for the Hauted houses.. VS the candy.

I trick or treated till like 17 and then realized candy was stupid an made my teeth hurt. It's also Michigan and likely cold so I would wear a warm coat covering up my costume. Then, the last 13 years I've had jobs where I worked on Halloween. I had 1 piece of candy this year. I'm not a fan if the holiday. It seem like a big commercial mess bent on rotting the teeth of everyone.

We had zero at our house, but our two neighbors were at their church's harvest festival—and thus our little street was mostly dark. The harvest festival was actually cool with stuff to do for toddlers through teens.....they invited us atheists over and it was kinda fun. Lots of nice people our age with small kids. I'm not saying I'm going to join a church just to socialize, but it was a pleasant change of pace from the usual gatherings around here with either self-absorbed singles/non-parents or dirtbags.

It was nice until about 3:00, had the doors open in the garage. 3:30 it hammered rain, wind up to 40mph. I barbequed inside the garage and drank beer. A few hard core kiddies came out. What the heck am I going to do with a basket full of Twixts and Milky Way bars?

My boy stopped going when he was 6 or so. He figured out the options:
1) freeze your ass off walking all over the neighborhood just to get those nasty orange and black peanut butter things
2) stay at home where you already know there's a big supply of good candy.
It's just not the same anymore. Now you have to walk past 5 houses just to find one with a light on. The kids don't come out, the lights aren't on. It's just dead.
By the way, take a guess how many documented cases of apples with razor blades in them have ever been recorded.
