Update - we made it Saturday with no issues. Waited in a mile-long registration line (note to self - prereg next time!). That wasn't too bad though since the sights were, ah, interesting and the line did move at a pretty good pace.
My daughter had a great time and is dead set on cosplaying for the next one. About the only way I'd consider that is in a 501st uniform or something but that is some coin/time I don't have to spare so I'll just stick to being the accompanying dad for as long as that lasts.
No sweaty teen hugs, those seemed reserved for the cosplayers, but I did see more under-age skin than I was comfortable with. Lots of well executed costumes as well but seriously, is wearing a "modest" bikini with a 2-foot furry tail and furry boot things really a costume/cosplay?
