But, as a kid, did you ever try to pop the claws on the "Animal?" Impossible. You needed mom or dad's help. They were designed for kids with over active pituitary glands.

Since you guys are good at this, find one for me.
Fairly certain it was a tonka toy. If I remember right, it was a jeep J10 pick up/trophy truck. Had a spoiler on top of the cab like a Outlaw car. Removable wheels and jack. Truck was black. I'd love to have that for my son.

I used to love the "remote controlled" cars. They went forward straight and turned right when reversed...all on a 2.5 ft. cord. The sad part was my brother and I would race them.
Imagine if you gave a modern kid one of those. I just don't think they could handle it.

Sounds an awful lot like a lot of the toys Ertl used to do back in the day..... I remember one I had was an old Bronco II, and much like the real one, the damn thing NEVER stayed on its wheels. There were several different models that came with stuff on a trailer.... I seem to remember having one that had a dune buggy or something that was perfect for the newer little GI Joes.

From what I've learned, it's pretty rare. I guess they only made it two years. However, if anyone sees this at a yard sale for under $50, buy it. I'll pay double what you paid plus shipping.(up to $100 plus shipping). The only one I found online was at an auction last February, and no indication if it sold or not. They anticipated it would go for $15-25.

Reading this thread has me thinking of an old VW Kubelwagen die cast toy that I had, and I'm pretty sure it had a V8 with velocity stacks swapped in.
EDIT: Found it! http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Diecast-German-Kubelwagen-&-Trailer-TootsieToy_W0Q...
