I'm helping a friend design some new lighting for her studio and I'm a little bit stumped on part of it.

There's about 32 meters of wall that I'm going to run RGBW high-density 5050 LED strip lighting along.  I want a single wall-mount controller for power, mode, and color.  I plan to use 12V strips and a couple power supplies, injecting power every 3 meters.  I haven't done the maths yet, but I'll make sure that the power lines are of appropriate gauge to avoid voltage drop and that I've got an appropriate number of power supplies loaded to only about 75-80% of their rating.

I know that if I try to plug my controller into one end of the strip, I'll get fatal levels of voltage drop on the signal so I plan to put some 4ch signal repeaters in to inject additional signal as well.  What I'm having a hard time finding, however, is what wattage I need for the signal so I can determine how many repeaters I need and how often I need to inject.

Any formulas or requirements for the RGBW signal?
