My wife bought me this for Christmas about 4 years ago.

It comes out very very rarely for special occasions. She never did tell me what it cost, but I get the impression it was well into 3 figures. Trust me, it's worth every penny, just amazing

For a more resonable, but still not cheap I like Lagavulin, incredibly smokey but still very smooth.

I'm not overly keen on Glenfiddich, I find it too harsh, I much prefer Glenlivet, much smoother.

For regular stuff I buy famouse grouse

Woodford Reserve is damn good stuff. My brother gave me a rather large bottle of it for my birthday a year ago, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I also really enjoy Basil Hayden and Four Roses. As far as whiskeys go, bourbon is still my favorite genre.

I have a bottle of Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, Four Roses Single Barrel, Bullet and Old Forrester (my mixing whiskey/ giving to people who come over to my apartment). I didn't love Rebel Yell and I really didn't like Old Bardstown. The Four Roses Single Barrel is inconsistent barrel to barrel.

+1 for Bulleit. Woodford is nice too, but spendy.
