I got a certificate emailed to me in a PDF format. I had a quote added and somehwhere between me typing it and them sending it to me the quotation marks turned into a few random characters.

I have no program to change this and so far no luck with the company (although i have not tried to terribly hard yet)

Can i send this PDF file to someone and ask you to edit out the random characters at the beginning/end of the quote and either add quotation marks or just edit them out and leave it blank?

Anyone up for a quick challenge to help me out

    Thanks

Send me a PM and i will send the file

Depending on how the PDF was created you may be able copy the text into a word processing program like Word.

Try selecting the text (right click and scroll through the document, or simply do a control-A.) If you can select the text, then just copy and paste. If you can't select the text, I think all you can do is retype the whole thing.

(I suppose if you have a scanner with OCR capability you can grab the text without retyping, but that's a lot of fooling around.)

If you have Adobe Acrobat vs just Adobe Reader, you can convert it to text, then edit the PDF document itself.
