The Icelandic geological community is very worried about seismic activity at the country's second largest volcano.

Last year's eruption interfered with European airspace, shut down flights across the continent and made a general mess of economic activity. The current suspect dwarves the punk that acted-out in 2010.

If it happens, maybe we'll get some really beautiful sunrises and sunsets for a while. And a whole bunch of other things, too.

All I got from that article was a geologist going "scare scare scare - I need more money and equipment - scare scare scare"

Wasn't there an episode of Mega Disasters that speculated on an eruption of the Yellowstone caldera?

If that were to happen, I'd rather be at ground-zero and enjoy the show - for a while. Better than enduring the aftermath.........

it won't erupt as long as they keep Captain Slow from driving a modified Toyota HiLux pickup to the top to try to get a lava sample.. this time it should be Hammond instead. he's smaller, and as such will disturb the land less.
