I have a shocking confession to make, but first things first:
This is my official re-introduction. I've been off and on this board since 2008, but never really jumped in. I'd like to change that now.
My name's Rabi, and I live right around Baltimore. I've been a car fanatic for a while now, and this board has consistently proven to be the best place to find reliable, proven advice.
I own two cars, both of them are Honda Civics. The 1995 is my commuter car, and the 1991 is, well... It broke down last summer and I couldn't get it going again, so I intended to sell it. I never really got around to it though (which is definitely a pattern with me.) So it may become a project car at some point. The main thing preventing me from that is the fact that I hate working on cars.
That's right, I said it. It's taken me years to admit it, because when I was younger, I always wanted to be one of those cool guys with their custom/restored cars, but I hate sitting outside in the cold/heat wrenching on stuff. I suppose a garage/lift/power tools/etc might make the job more enjoyable, but I doubt it. I'd rather be driving than wrenching.
I can do (and have done) a fair amount of basic work, I've replaced clutches, exhaust systems, and so forth, and I'm always willing to do the necessary work to keep my car going, but I can no longer pretend I enjoy it.
That being said, I hope to be a contributing member of this little community. While I might not like the work, I certainly love the cars.
